Redcue does not collect, store, or transmit your personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, and no crash-reporting service. There is no third-party SDK in the app and no advertising identifier. We — the developer, DadMadeAnApp — never receive any data from your device, and there is no server we operate. The only machine Redcue talks to is the OBS Studio instance you point it at, on your own network.
Everything the app keeps is stored locally and nowhere else:
You can see what is held and erase all of it under Settings › Data. Uninstalling the app deletes it too. No copy exists anywhere else.
Redcue keeps a log of its own conversation with OBS — connects, drops, reconnects and the failures in between — so you can find out why something stopped working. An entry holds what happened, when, and the address it happened against. It never holds a password. The log is capped and prunes itself, it stays on this device, and it goes nowhere unless you export it yourself from Settings › Logs. Delete everything under Settings › Data clears it.
To find OBS, Redcue looks across your local network for machines answering on the OBS WebSocket port. That search stays on your network and is not reported anywhere. Once connected, Redcue talks only to that machine, and your OBS password is sent only there, to authenticate.
Used only when you choose to scan the connection QR code that OBS Studio itself displays. Frames are read on your device to look for that code and are not stored, transmitted, or used for anything else.
Redcue is free and every feature in it is free. Settings has an optional tip jar: three one-time purchases that unlock nothing and just say thanks. There is no subscription, no free trial, and no recurring charge of any kind. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details and receive no purchase data that identifies you.
Redcue is a tool for operating streaming software. It is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
